Adding Links to Different Types of Content
In Weebly, it's easy to connect to different types of content. There are a few different options to create links, but all follow the same process and all enable you to add uploaded, on-line, and in-site connections to different material.
Hyperlink
The most familiar way to add content is through a hyperlink. Highlight the text to be linked, and click the link icon in the word processing toolbar. The Link To edit box will open, and you can select the link option that you need:
To add a link to a website, paste the URL of the site into the Website URL box. Remember to click the "Open Link in New Window" if you want!
Click on Email Address to add a link to an email address, and allow a user to send an email by clicking the link. |
Clicking Standard Page allows you to link to another page within the website
Choosing File lets you upload a file - image, word document, spreadsheet - that can be opened/downloaded by clicking on the link |
Link Through a Button
To add a button, click and drag the "Button" box from the Structure section of the content toolbar into the page. Click on the button, and the Button Editing box will open.
You will be able to type on the button, adding a title for the link Click Button Style to change the size/color of the button Click Link to open the Link To box, and add links the same as adding to a hyperlink. |
